Are you trying to have a baby? Feeling exhausted, uncertain and worried about feeling worried!
After more than a decade's experience working in an infertility unit, I have knowledge of the various investigations involved and the option of treatments from Ovulation induction, IUI to IVF or ICSI. I understand the rollercoaster of emotions going through investigations and treatment can cause. Whether you want to have some support individually or with your partner - I can help.
Having the confidential, caring space to open up and explore these often confusing or overwhelming feelings can help you feel calmer and more comfortable making any decisions that affect your treatment. The clinical team at your clinic will advise you and share statistics but sometimes you have options, and it can help to talk them through with a trained infertility counsellor. I did my training with British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) who the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) work with on policies for all licensed clinics.
You may be nervous about needles or the egg collection - Hypnotherapy can help you prepare for these situations with techniques to help you relax and feel more in control.
Reiki offers a wonderful way to relax and bring healing to your body, complementing any other treatment you may be receiving. Our sacral chakra, the one linked to our reproductive organs is also linked with emotion so often energy can get stuck here which means the body can’t heal and work as effectively. Reiki can help release this blocked energy, allowing your reproductive area to function more effectively - ultimately helping you try for your baby.
Of course, success cannot be guaranteed, some things in life happen to us to teach us lessons, however painful they may be. I empathise and understand how heart-breaking a loss is or an unsuccessful round of treatment, All the above healing techniques can help you process this and plan for whatever the next step is that is right for you.
If you are unsure about any of the treatments or new to them, feel free to get in touch and ask any questions you have before you book.
